Monday #3.

Happy Wednesday everyone!
I'm just going to do a quick little Web Wednesday Post. Because, well, I'm over it. This week needs to be over. Stat. So what is Web Wednesday you might ask? Well, it's when I find something on the interwebs that I think you all might enjoy. Or I at least enjoy and hope that you might too. If you feel like joining in, just grab this little logo below and search the web to your little heart's content.

And because I'm over it, I found this little gem this morning that completely describes how I feel right now.

And let's be real, Pre-Mondays are the WORST. So I hope you all enjoy your Monday #3 and aren't on the struggle bus as much as I am right now. Have a great day.

Peace and Blessings.

Web Wednesday!

Happy Hump Day Everyone!!
It's finally time to jump into a little thing I like to call Web Wednesday! It's just a little day where I go out into the world wide web and find something I think ya'll might enjoy. It might be something funny, something inspirational, something weird. Anything! If you feel like joining in, by all means, go for it!

Today I bring you one of my favorite YouTube videos of all time. Sometimes, when I'm having a bad day, I just like to look up videos of babies laughing because it just always puts a smile on my face. So here you go....

I just love that he laughs so hard that he falls over. I want to laugh that hard. I want something to be so incredibly funny that I just tip over in sheer delight.

So, I hope you all have a great day and laugh a little bit during it!

L is for the Way You Look at Me

You guys might have seen my post from Friday where I posted about getting engaged. AND YES I'M GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe it. I am so incredibly excited that I get to spend the rest of my life with Eric. He is the love of my life and my best friend.

And the proposal was perfect. It might not have gone down like the ones you see on Pinterest. But it was absolutely perfect. I couldn't have asked for anything more. There was no one hiding out taking pictures, it wasn't up on a scoreboard, it wasn't written across the sky, we weren't in front of all our family in friends. I'm so glad that none of those things happened. We were simply at home in our dining room after work just the two of us (and Morgan!). It was beyond perfect. I'm smiling just thinking about it.

I had given Eric his Valentine's day gift the day before, so when I got home on Wednesday, I wasn't surprised when I saw a card and candy waiting for me. Neither of us can wait very long after buying gifts to give them to each other. He met me at the door and said, "I figured your gift would be us going out to eat on Friday, but I also got you a card." I opened the card and started reading. It was one of those cards that has a few pages. On the last page of an amazing card, Eric had written, "Will you Marry Me!!!" At that time he got down on one knee and popped the question! I think I blacked out for a little bit and after freaking out a little bit, I said YES!

It was so unbelievably perfect.

High Fivin'!

What a whirlwind of a week you guys! Holy cow! I have quite a bit to high five about!

1. I got some of my bonuses at work this week as well as my tax return. So right now, I feel like I'm rollin' in the dough. It's been nice because I'm able to catch up on all the student loans, pay off some bills and save a little bit of it. I also might have spoiled myself a bit with some of it....

2. With one of my bonuses, I bough a brand new bed for us! We went shopping for one awhile ago and I absolutely fell in love with it and couldn't get my mind off of it for the next month. We finally went and bought it and just picked it up on Monday! Ignore the fact that nothing in our bedroom matches, but there is still some money left over for a new bedding set and maybe new curtains. (Hellooooo man cave! Am I right?!)
Yes. That certificate is what you think it is. Eric owns stock in the Green Bay Packers and Yes it's having above our bed.

3. Work has gone surprisingly well this week. I landed a huge client all by myself and got to bask in the glory of it. It's a brand new company that I reached out to with no help from anyone and it feels great.

4. Another awesome thing about work is that we have amazing suites that we can hold parties in such as Origami Owl and Lularoe Skirt parties. I've been pining after an Origami Owl necklace for a long time. Well, I finally sold a kidney used some of my bonus money and bought myself one. Let me tell ya, those things are not cheap, but they're adorable.
Sorry for the crappy cell phone picture, but this is what roughly one kidney will get you in Origami Owl products.

5. There wasn't anything else major this week that happened. Except the fact that I'm now engaged. I mean it's no big deal. YEAHRIGHTI'MSOEXCITEDI'MGETTINGMARRIED!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! You guys!!! I'm getting married! I have a fiance! EEEEE!!!! I think I'm still in shock a little bit. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't worry, there will be a post coming up next week about how it all went down. In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy my Valentine's day and go out tonight to formally celebrate our engagement! (eeee I'm engaged!)
We're gettin' hitched!!!
Have a great day everyone!!! Happy Love Day!

Web Wednesday

So after a month and a half long brief hiatus, I'm back, and with some new stuff! I'm starting what I like to call Web Wednesdays. There is no doubt about it, I have grown up in the age of the internet. I've been connected to the web for as long as I can remember. And there is nothing I love more (except Eric and Morgan) than surfing the web for random shiz. So I bring you, Web Wednesday. Feel free to participate if you would like, the more the merrier!

As you all know, I love the Olympics. You might have heard that NBC Commentator Bob Costas came down with a nasty case of pinkeye. Well, it didn't take long for the pinkeye to spread. Not only to his other eye, but it went straight up viral. There are memes and twitter accounts galore depicting poor Bob Costas' unfortunate timing of pinkeye. So I present to you... The 20 Funniest Tweets About Bob Costas' Pinkeye.

My favorite one... "I guess Bob Costas won't be working for 20/20 anytime soon." Hilarious.

So, let me know what ya think, not only about poor Bob's pinkeye, but also about Web Wednesday. If you want to join in the fun, let me know and I'll hook ya up with that fancy logo up there!

Have a great day!

*Insert Olympics Theme Here*

I know what you guys might be thinking... "Where the eff has Kate been?" I've been super swamped at work and when I get home I just want to relax at home with the boy and the dog instead of having my nose buried in my computer. I used to write my posts at work when I got a spare second, but I haven't had a spare second since the new year started. So yeah... I'm going to try to post more often, I have a few things in the works. I also have some exciting things coming up :) But right now, I've been waaaayyyy too busy watching the Olympics.

I love the Olympics, so much. I love all the stories behind the athletes, I'm beyond impressed by all the hard work they put in to their sports, the opening ceremonies are so unique and amazing and I just can't get enough. There are so many great moments that happen in the time span of the Olympics. There are happy moments, sad moments, feel-good moments, and sometimes those moments that hit close to home and evoke memories that bring a smile to your face and tears of joy to your eyes.

I came across that moment last night while watching the coverage of the Freestyle Men's Moguls. I don't know if you're familiar with Alex Bilodeau, but he is a Canadian athlete. After an amazing run, Alex managed to bring home his second Gold Medal in the Freestyle Moguls. He also took home the Gold in Vancouver in 2010.

The story gets better though. Alex's biggest fan, his brother Frederic, who has Cerebral Palsy. The best part about Alex's performance though, his him being so humble. He spoke about how amazing his brother is and the influence that he has had on his life.

I know what he is talking about when he talks about the influence his brother had on him. A friend and classmate of mine from high school, Nate, also had Cerebral Palsy. You would think that having a disability such as that would put a damper on your life. Nate never let it bother him. He lived his life the best that he could, he never let it get him down, he always had a smile on his face and a way to make you laugh. I went to school with him every day, and never realized the impact he would one day have on me. I didn't realize until the day he passed away in 2009 the legacy that he left behind. Since then I have lived my life a different way. I have changed my thinking and have become a more positive person since then. And I owe it all to Nate.

So I understand what Alex is saying. When asked about his back to back Gold Medals, he said something along the lines of this... "If my brother were able to, he would be a three time gold medalist." I know that if Nate could have done things like the rest of us, he would have. And he would have succeeded. I wish he knew that he did do something amazing with his life, he made me a better person. And like skier, Alex Bilodeau contributes his success to his brother, I owe it all to Nate.
You brought sunshine to our lives, and a smile to our hearts.
